Reverting to Type 2020 catalogue
The Reverting to Type 2020 exhibition catalogue consists of two parts: a large map showing exhibited artworks with credits and descriptions listed on the reverse, and Long Primer, a booklet of specially commissioned essays and interviews on the status of letterpress in 2020, wrapped with a letterpress-printed bellyband.
The unfolded map poster measures 934 x 635mm and each of the 188 proportionately-scaled artworks is large enough to study.
The Long Primer booklet is 40 pages and includes essays on Context by Carl Middleton, Connections by John Christopher, Education by Erin Beckloff and Prospects by Richard Ardagh, as well as interviews with letterpress printers known for their activism: Ben Blount, Sergei Besov, Dennis Gould, Myrna Keliher and Armina Ghazaryan.
