Ministry of Stories opened Hoxton Street Monster Supplies as a pseudo shopfront for their initiative to encourage local children to discover their gift for writing. Purveyors of Quality Goods for Monsters of Every Kind, the shop masquerades as a fantastical retail outlet selling ‘Pickled Eyeballs’ and ‘Thickest Human Snot’.

The shop is a short walk from New North Press and of great benefit to the local community, so it was a pleasure to be commissioned by designers We Made This to produce a series of greetings cards to help the cause. The ‘voices’ of our woodtype collection were employed to great affect in alternative cards for Christmas, Hallowe’en, Mothers’ Day, Valentine’s Day, to say thanks or just to shout AAARGHHH!
