A supplement to our 2025 edition of Bernard Levin’s On Quoting Shakespeare.
Having noticed how many more phrases and idioms there were that had not been included in Levin’s 1983 text, we decided to produce our own additional version, following the existing model.
Assisted by Emma Walshe of Peter Harrington – the antiquarian bookseller who recently exhibited all four of Shakespeare’s original Folios – Nigel Bents has composed a fresh narrative, linking a further 58 examples. And thus, with ‘bated breath’, and ‘wearing our heart on our sleeve’, we present On Quoting Shakespeare Again, after Bernard Levin – a print ‘to put colour in thy cheek’!
Printed on Somerset Satin 300gsm acid-free paper.
Size: 1000 x 380mm. Edition of 100.
NB, numbers 1-50 of the edition are offered for the special price of £150. Once sold, the price for the remainder will increase to £200.
